Step 1:
Pay application fee. With rare exceptions, every applicant, including children, must pay a non-refundable USD 131 application fee in RINGGIT equivalent (RM 440) and VFS's service fee RM 27 at Alliance Bank. Carry a photocopy of your current passport (first and the last page) for procuring a payment receipt.

Important Note: it will take one working day for your fee receipt to be processed. Then you may proceed to step 2

Step 2:
Return to this website and click on Apply for a Non-immigrant Visa link after the fees have been paid. You will need to use your passport number and receipt's purchase date from your Alliance Bank Fee Receipt to schedule an appointment.

Step 3:
Report to the U.S. Embassy on the date and time of your visa interview. You will need to bring your printed Appointment Letter, visa application forms, one recent photograph (taken LESS than 6 months ago), current and all old passports and the original Alliance Bank fee receipt. Applications without all of the above and the original Alliance Bank fee receipt or with an incorrect photograph will NOT be accepted.

Remember, apply early! Here's why: Though the visa processing time is typically 1 day, the processing time of a specific case may vary due to individual circumstances and other special requirements. When you apply for a visa, you will be checked against available records of people who are ineligible for visas or those whose applications require additional review by U.S. agencies before a visa can be issued. If your name or a close variation indicates that a further investigation of your application is needed, your visa application will require additional processing time--this can take several weeks.
